COVID-19 UPDATES
Is the 2020 festival going ahead?
Yes! The 2020 Benidorm Elvis Fiesta has been moved to October 30th - November 1st. Without a crystal ball we cannot know exactly how the pandemic will affect the festival by October, but be sure that we have designed the festival with the current health securities in mind, and will continue to follow Government and WHO guidelines if/when they change.
Is Benidorm under any lockdowns?
Spain is currently not in a state of alarm. The Valencian region, where Benidorm is located, is living in the "New Normal". Benidorm is not under any lockdowns.
Can we eat and drink indoors?
All venues can utilize their indoor and outdoor spaces but with a 1-2m distancing rule between tables/groups.
Can we sit with our friends?
Yes! You may sit in groups of up to 20 persons without social distancing.
Can I go up to the bar?
You can queue to get served at a bar, although some venues may prefer to use waiter service only (espeicially at beach bars).
Do I have to wear masks all of the time?
You have to wear masks at all times not including at your table chatting/watching entertainment, eating or drinking, at the beach, at the pool, or exercising. By law, all staff members of venues must wear masks at all times.
Are toilets open?
Yes. Public toilets and venue toilets are all open with hand sanitisers.
Will I have my temperature checked?
Some venues may take your temperature. Currently, Alicante airport is performing temperature checks as you arrive and some airports may check your temperature before you depart. Only your core temperature is checked - you won't have a high reading just because you're hot! You may not be allowed permittance if your core temperature is feverous.
Is Live Music allowed?
Yes! Live Music is allowed both indoors and outdoors.
Are buffets open?
Not at the moment. Buffet restaurants are operating with a waiter service only.
What if the festival is cancelled?
In the unlikely event of the festival being cancelled, wristbands will automatically be moved over to the April 2021. If you cannot make those dates, your wristbands will be moved to a future festival. Refunds will not be given.
